HAMPTON ROADS RESTAURANTS! Here is a unique way to be creative with your menu and support public broadcasting at the same time! So far almost 20 restaurants are on board with the first-ever WHRO Restaurant Week, to be held Sept. 15-21 ... dont be left out - please contact me and sign up now! Here is how it works: -- You write a three-course prix fixe lunch and/or dinner menu ($10, $15 or $20 for lunch ... $20, $30 or $40 for dinner) inspired by one of your favorite PBS/NPR chefs! Think of Julia Child, Jose Andres, Lidia Bastianich, Rick Bayless, David Chang, Marcel Desaulniers, Nathalie Dupree, Todd English, Daisy Martinez, Michael Ruhlman, Charlie Trotter, Ming Tsai ... there are so many. -- You offer the menu and help promote it. You return 20 percent of your sales on the Restaurant Week menu item to WHRO as a benefit for public broadcasting in Hampton Roads -- WHRO will promote the week in print, online, through social media, on the radio, on the television, and through the WHRO Restaurant Week Smart Phone App available in iTunes... there is even an opportunity for you to be in studio/on air during television pledge! -- Its a simple as that ... a great partnership between WHRO and you ...
